Diary Entry Greek Myth Diary Entry Rubric Anne Frank Girls will write three diary entries as per 'diary extract' guidelines in EHBSG pg. 80. Each entry will be at least 100 words and be as accurate as possible in the area of setting, characterization, and writing style similar to their story. 	Excellent 5 pts	Good 4 pts	Fair 3 pts	Poor 2 pts
Content	Excellent The project contains three diary entries, with dates, of at least 100 words each.	Good The project contains three diary entries but falls slightly below 100 words on one or more of the entries.	Fair The project contains three diary entries with far below the 100 words each, or there are less than three entries.	Poor The project is seriously deficient in number of entries, word count, or both.
Language Structure and Conventions	Excellent The project has no errors in grammar, punctuation, or spelling. Complete sentences are always used.	Good The project contains very few errors in grammar, punctuation, or spelling. Complete sentences are always used.	Fair The report has several errors in grammar, punctuation, or spelling. Complete sentences are sometimes not used.	Poor The report has many errors in grammar, punctuation, and/or spelling. Complete sentences are frequently not used.
Aesthetics	Excellent The diary and title page are typed in a word document. Elegant execution and artistic details are evident in presentation of diary entries.	Good The diary and title page are typed in a word document with only a few neatness issues. Some artistic details in presentation of diary entries.	Fair The diary and title page are typed in a word document, however, with frequent messiness. Resembles careless work. Little or no artistic details in presentation of diary entries.	Poor The diary and title page are poorly typed and not in a word document and no artistic details present.
Accuracy	Excellent Diary entries depict situations and events that are completely accurate and believable.	Good Diary entries depict situations and events that are usually accurate and believable.	Fair Diary entries depict situations and events that have some accuracy and are believable.	Poor Diary entries depict situations and events that are not accurate or believable at all.
Diary Format	Excellent Student's diary is bound correctly and beautifully presented.	Good Student's diary is bound and but has components missing i.e. name, class et al.	Fair Student's diary is bound but not much effort displayed. Missing many components.	Poor Student did not bind the diary - expectations were not met.
