Community Service Group Presentation Rubric
This rubric is designed to assess the presentation of the group activity on community service. The rubric should consider the performance of the group as a whole, as well as individual contributions.

Presentation was fairly organized and pretty followable. Students needed very little assistance from the teacher.

Presentation was somewhat followable and not well organized. Students were given little assistance from the teacher.
Beginning Steps
Presentation was not organized and was not followable by the audience. Students were given assistance at every step of the presentation.
Teamwork/Participation
Advanced
The group worked very well with each other and the presentation was shared equally among the group members. No assistance from the teacher was needed.
Proficient
The group worked well with each other and communicated well. Relatively no assistance was required when preparing presentation. Presentation was almost equally shared amongst group members.
Nearing Proficient
Group communicated relatively well, one student did most of the talking. Some teachers intervention was needed.
Beginning Steps
Group did not work well together. Teachers needed to provide assistance at all steps of the presentation. Teacher had to encourage participation from group members during presentation.

Students have a excellent knowledge of what community service is. Students provided 4 or more examples of community service projects and explained them thoroughly.
Proficient
Students have a sound knowledge of what community service is. Students could present and explain 3-4 different community service projects.
Nearing Proficient
Students have a little understanding of the content addressed. Students could present and explain 1-2 different community service projects.
Beginning Steps
Group members had no understanding of the content addressed in the presentation.
Presentation
Advanced
Presenters spoke loud and clear for all audience members to hear. Presenters made eye contact with audience almost the entire presentation with referencing to their poster very little. Presenters were enthusiastic about the presentation and interacted with the audience.
Proficient
Presentation was heard most of the time. Speakers spoke clearly most of the time. Presenters made a good amount of eye contact with audience and were enthusiastic about their presentation.
Nearing Proficient
Presentation was barely heard and students only heard some of what presenters were saying. Presenters made little eye contact with the audience. Presenters spoke monotone with no enthusiasm for their presentation.
Beginning Steps
Presentation was hard to hear and the audience couldn't understand what presenters were saying the whole time. Students made no eye contact with the audience.
