Outstanding

The student explored several choices before selecting one; generating many ideas; tried unusual combinations or changes on several ideas; made connections to previous knowledge; demonstrated understanding problem solving skills.

Outstanding

The project was continued until it was as complete as the student could make it; gave it effort far beyond that required; took pride in going well beyond the requirement.

The student showed poor craftsmanship; evidence of laziness or lack of understanding.

The student showed below average craftsmanship, lack of pride in finished work.

The student showed average craftsmanship; adequate, but not as good as it could have been, a bit careless.

With a little more effort, the work could have been outstanding; lacks the finishing touches.

The artwork was beautiful and patiently done; it was as good as hard work could make it.

The student had a total lack of effort, was disruptive to the teacher and students, didn't turn work in on time, and was not showing responsibility for his/her materials and workspace.

The student showed some effort but was inconsistent, was talkative or disruptive, and didn't turn work in on time.
Fair

The student had a good attitude but was talkative in class, didn't clean up well, didn't follow some of the directions.
Good

The student followed directions, participated, and had a good attitude.
Outstanding

The student followed directions, listened, participated enthusiastically, was responsible for a clean work area, and had a positive attitude in class.
