Art Project Rubric
	Great = A 5 pts	Good = B 4 pts	Fair = C/D 3 pts	Poor = D/F 2 pts
Effort	Great = A Project shows that student spent a significant amount of time to create it.	Good = B Project shows that student spent a decent amount of time to create it.	Fair = C/D Project shows that student spent very little time in its creation.	Poor = D/F Project appears to be put together last minute. Little effort is evident.
Explanation	Great = A Student fully explains all aspects of the artwork. Every part has a reason/meaning. Deep insight is evident.	Good = B Student can justify most aspects of the artwork. Some parts are simply "there" with no reason.	Fair = C/D Student can only justify/explain a small portion of the artwork. Most parts are simply "there" with no reason at all.	Poor = D/F Student cannot explain any aspect of the artwork. Parts are simply put together with no explanation.
Scene	Great = A Student clearly demonstrates the events and meaning of the scene/character(s). This is clearly simply by viewing the artwork.	Good = B Student vaguely demonstrates the meaning of the scene/character(s).This is somewhat clear by viewing the artwork, but must also be explained.	Fair = C/D Student demonstrates the meaning of the scene/character(s) through the artwork or through explanation, but not both.	Poor = D/F Student vaguely demonstrates the meaning of the scene/character(s) through the piece of artwork explanation, but not both.
Timeliness	Great = A The project was completed and presented on the day and class period it was due.	Good = B The project was completed and presented 1 day later than the due date.	Fair = C/D The project was completed and presented 2 days later than the due date.	Poor = D/F The project was completed and presented 3 or more days later than the due date. Anything passed in later will receive a zero in this category.
