Posting to a discussion board This rubric is used any time students post to our class discussion boards.
	Poor 1 pts	Almost 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Number of Sentences Each assignment will have a minimum number of sentences.	Poor Less than recommended sentences. Some sentences are incomplete.	Almost Not graded	Good Five or more complete sentences.
Correct Spelling Each entry needs to have correct spelling. If you aren't a good speller complete in Word first and copy and paste to the post.	Poor 3 or more misspelled words.	Almost 1-2 misspelled words in the post.	Good No misspellings.
Correct Punctuation Each sentence needs to begin with a capital and end with a form of punctuation.	Poor Lacking one or more punctuation marks.	Almost Not graded	Good Has all the proper punctuation.
Remained on Topic Stayed on the specific topic of the assignment.	Poor Didn't follow the assigned topic.	Almost Not graded	Good Followed the specific topic of the assignment.
Commenting Each post will have you comment on a peer's post. Comments need to be complete sentences.	Poor Didn't comment to a peer or the comment was an incomplete sentence.	Almost Comment had misspelled words or missing punctuation	Good Commented in a complete sentence.
