Visualization	Poor The student did not present a visual aid.	Fair The visual aid was poorly conceived. It’s relationship to the movie concept is difficult to determine.	Good The visual aid is relevant, but only partially developed.	Excellent The student presented an effective movie poster with a tagline that communicated the movie’s central problem. And/Or: The student complimented his or or movie pitch with attractive storyboards for key moments of the narrative.
Presentation	Poor Little evidence of planning.	Fair The presenter was somewhat prepared. At times he/she seemed unsure of the movie concept being pitched	Good Generally effective.The presenter’s narrative was incomplete or sometimes vague and unclear.	Excellent Highly effective movie pitch. The student was fully prepared. The audience has a clear sense of what the movie is about.
Written Synopsis	Poor The student did not identify the relevant narrative beats.	Fair The synopsis uses and properly identifies some of Snyder’s narrative beats.	Good Many of Snyder's narrative beats are used and correctly identified.	Excellent The student clearly summarized his/her movie concept using Blake Snyder’s 15 narrative beats. These beats are clearly identified.
