Problem Statement	Exceeds Completely explains the problem and what they know.	Meets Partially explains the problem and what they know.	Approaches Struggles to explain the problem and/or what they know.	Falls Far Below Shows little to no understanding of the problem's underlying concepts.
Solution/Steps	Exceeds Gives the correct solution. All steps are shown.	Meets Gives a solution with minimal errors. Shows majority of steps.	Approaches Gives solution but is wrong. Shows partial steps.	Falls Far Below Does not give a solution. Does not show steps.
Explanation/ Description of Process	Exceeds Provides an excellent description of how they solved the problem and includes details about why they used a particular strategy.	Meets Provides a good description of how they solved the problem and alludes to why they used a particular strategy.	Approaches Provides a basic description of how they solved the problem.	Falls Far Below Provides little to no description of how they solved the problem.
Neatness and Organization	Exceeds The work is presented in a neat, clear, organized fashion that is easy to read. Diagrams and/or sketches are clear and greatly add to the reader's understanding of the procedure(s). Used the appropriate units when presenting data.	Meets The work is presented in a neat and organized fashion that is usually easy to read. Diagrams and/or sketches are clear and easy to understand. Used the appropriate units most of the time when presenting data.	Approaches The work is presented in an organized fashion but may be hard to read at times.
