Keying Mastery/Hand Position	Excellent Student keeps fingers on the home row keys 92% or more of the time while typing with arched hands.	Good Student keeps fingers on the home row keys 91% - 82% or more of the time while typing with arched hands.	Average Student keeps fingers on the home row keys 81% - 72% of time while typing with partially arched hands.	Poor Student keeps fingers on the home row keys 71% -65% of the time with no arched hands.
Eyes on the Source	Excellent Student keeps eyes on the material to be typed. The student seldom looks at the monitor or keyboard.	Good Student occasionally looks at fingers to get positioning.	Average Student constantly keeps looking at hands than to monitor/textbook.	Poor Student always looks at keys.
