13 Colonies Recruitment Postcard 13 Colonies Recruitment Postcard The students will work together to create a recruitment postcard for one of the colonies/regions of the original colonies (New England Colonies, Middle Colonies, or Southern Colonies). The postcard will contain the name of the colony, at least three images/drawings of the colony, a slogan for persuasion, and at least 5 convincing reasons why immigrants should settle in their colony/region. Historical Knowledge	Needs more work The brochure is lacking in elements required. It is historically inaccurate.	Fair Does not have all of the relevant information of the brochure. Some facts are inaccurate. There is not enough information presented and won't recruit many settlers.	Meets expectations brochure includes accurate historical information; however, it is very general and lacks detail. It may be convincing enough to recruit settlers.	Exceeds expectations The brochure includes all historical information relevant to the topic. The brochure includes detailed facts about their colony. It's very effective in recruiting settlers.
Work quality/effort	Needs more work Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Meets expectations The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of.
