Level of Engagement	Poor Student is not able or willing to answer questions or respond to teacher requests. Student appears to be sleeping or not engaged in class.	Fair Student can or will only respond if questions are repeated or assistance and clarification are provided. Distracted or rarely engaged in class.	Good Student does not volunteer but is able to answer and respond to all teacher requests without repetition or assistance. Actively engaged most of the time.	Excellent Student actively contributes to dicussions and responds to all teacher's requests. Actively engaged.
Respect for Others	Poor Student does not listen to others and interrupts. Student repeatedly says inappropriate or disruptive comments.	Fair Student rarely listens to others without interrupting. Student occasionally says inappropriate or disruptive comments.	Good Student usually listens to others without interrupting. Student rarely says inappropriate or disruptive comments.	Excellent Student always listens to others. Student is not says inappropriate or disruptive.
Prepared for Learning	Poor Student does not have an attitude to learn. Materials are not used and/or repeated cell phone use.	Fair Student rarely has an attitude to learn. Limited use of material and/or cell phone use during class.	Good Student has an attitude to learn. Materials are available and/or cell phone use in class.	Excellent Student has an excellent attitude to learn. Materials are present and not distracted by cell phone.
