Cows in the Meadow 
The Students will listen to a story and then create a Holstein cow collage dancing in a painted background of a flower-filled meadow.

The student cuts all the shapes of the cow and puts it together with some of the body parts.

The student is able to cut out the cow shapes to include all the body parts and is able to put most all body parts together appropriatedly according to directions.

The student is able to draw the cow to put all the body parts together appropriatedly according to directions and embellish with more details, such as request pink paper for the tongue and the udders, drw a collar, create a bell, and/or horns.

The Meadow has colorful flowers and tall grass reaching upwards.

The student does not paint all or some of their background. The student is not able to paint without the help of the teacher.

The student does not paint some of their background. The student is not able to paint the flowers on stems reaching up toward the sky without the help of the teacher.

The student can glue the cow

to the background to look like it is dancing.

The student can only glue what he/she has put together and has glued the cow with no concern for its location on the background.

The student has glued the cow to the paper upside down with no concern for its location on the background.

The student has glued the cow just above the ground to show that it is dancing.

The student has glued the cow just above the ground to show that it is dancing. Lines have been painted or drawn around some body parts to show that the cow is moving. The artwork is unique -unlike any other.
