Creating Persuasive Appeals
	Poor / Non-Existent 0 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 6 pts	Excellent 10 pts
Number of Appeals Written	Poor / Non-Existent Student writes no appeals for any prompt using complete sentences.	Fair Student fails to write four or more appeals using complete sentences.	Good Student fails to write one to three appeals using complete sentences.	Excellent Student writes three different appeals for each prompt using complete sentences.
Strength of Appeals	Poor / Non-Existent Student fails to write complete sentences or has no reasoning.	Fair Student fails to create clear sentences or valid reasoning.	Good Student's appeals are worded appropriately and/or uses weaker reasoning.	Excellent Student's appeals are clearly worded use valid reasoning.
Accuracy of Appeals	Poor / Non-Existent Student fails to accurately reflect the persuasive techniques in any appeals.	Fair Student fails to accurately reflect the persuasive techniques in six or more appeals.	Good Student fails to accurately reflect the persuasive technique in three to five appeals.	Excellent Student's appeals accurately reflect the persuasive technique called for.
