Content	Poor Pages are missing. Novel is mentioned but is not understood by the reader.	Fair Missing a page. Novel information is included but more is necessary.	Good All six pages were included. More information/organization was needed.	Excellent More than six pages with correct information were shared. Organization was clearly noted.
Pictures	Poor Pictures were incomplete, lacked color and had little to do with the story.	Fair Cartoon pictures were present but didn't follow the story line in a way that helped the reader know what was going on.	Good Cartoons were present and neat. Pictures helped in the understanding of the novel but were a little confusing.	Excellent Cartoon pictures were attractive and used to enhance the readers understanding of the novel. Color was neat.
Use of Time in Class	Poor Did not use class time to focus on project OR distracted others often. Reminders given daily.	Fair Easily distracted, focus on project some of the time but needed reminding.	Good Used class time well. Occasionally distracted others.	Excellent Students used time wisely in class. The project was the focus and distracting classmates wasn't!
Bubbles, Dialogue	Poor Bubbles were not used or unclear or illegible.	Fair Characters spoke to each other in the bubble but was difficult to follow and understand.	Good The characters expressed themselves through dialogue in the bubbles but was somewhat unclear.	Excellent Characters were expressing themselves through dialogue that was easy to follow and understand. The story was clearly expressed in the bubbles.
Plot of Novel	Poor More than two areas of the required Plot were missing.	Fair Two of the requirements were not included.	Good One of the requirements for plot was left out.	Excellent Title, author, characters, conflict, climax (how was the conflict solved), resolution (how did the story end), were included in a way that was easy to understand.
