Paragraph Response Rubric Individual paragraph rubric This rubric is designed for prompts that require a specific response for each paragraph. The detail sentences are well organized, interesting, and help elaborate on the main topic in the paragraph.	Proficient (3) The paragraph contains supporting detail sentences which adequately support the main idea/topic sentence. Detail sentences are organized and sufficiently help elaborate the main topic in the paragraph.	Developing (2) Few supporting detail sentences are provided. As a result, one or more of the paragraphs are underdeveloped. Another issue could be that the detail sentences provided do not all support the main idea in the topic sentence.
