Design Enineering Process -- Group Portfolio 
Students are to collect evidence of what they are doing within the cardboard challenge. I will be looking at research, sketches and notes that have been collected the past two weeks.

What research have you collected to help make your container?

Excellent

Research is organized and clear as it pertains to the project. Team has accumulate at least one FULL PAGE front and half of back of noted research.
Good

Partial research is done to help with the building of the container. Organization could be better. There is at least one page of research evident.
Poor

No research can be found. Less than a full page of research evident. Lacks organization.
Sketches

Students started out with a sketch of container.

Excellent

Team has detailed, labeled sketch at the beginning of the project. As the project has proceeded the design has changed and it is evident in the new sketch or sketches.
Good

Team has the sketch at the beginning of the project. As the project has proceeded the design has changed the design has not changed in the new sketches. Little detail, labels that communicate design.

Team has the sketch at the beginning of the project. As the project has proceeded the design has changed BUT it is NOT evident in A new sketch or sketches. Does not include any labels or detail.
Notes

Notes on what is working or not working.

Notes are legible and organized. Gives detail about what is working and is not working. Student has written this as a daily journal. Very easy to follow.

Created a model that the group decided on using

constraints (used materials that were not approved). Container is larger than required measurements or beaker does not fit inside container.

Students compile data as container is tested.

Excellent

Data table for each volume of water tested. Graphs clearly show time vs. temperature and each trial with various volumes of water is represented.

Data tables and graphs are not clearly defined. There is 1-2 data tables missing.

Portfolio

Students compile a portfolio documenting their research, design and testing of container.
