Associated with Connecticut DECA Includes a reference to Connecticut.	Poor Does not show any reference to Connecticut.	Fair Shows some reference to Connecticut.	Good It is evident that Connecticut is incorporated.	Excellent/Outstanding Blends requirements of Connecticut in an attractive pin design.
Associated with National DECA Theme The design must have reference to National DECA or annual theme.	Poor Does not show any reference to National DECA and/or theme.	Fair Shows some reference to National DECA and/or theme.	Good It is evident that the National DECA and/or theme is incorporated.	Excellent/Outstanding Blends requirements of National DECA and/or theme in an attractive pin design.
Attention grabbing Pin designs illustrate originality, imagination and creativity. Work must be that of the students.	Poor Is bland and unexciting.	Fair Pin includes attention grabbing elements that are 50% effective	Good Pin includes attention grabbing elements that are 75% effective	Excellent/Outstanding Appeals to the mass---in otherwords, would appeal to the general membership of Connecticut DECA. Meets restrictions No registered trademarks or logos. Pins must be in color. Submission must be accompanied by explanation.	Poor Pin has no color, no clear explanation, and has logo/copyright infringements.	Fair Pin has no color or clear explanation and is difficult to understand, but abides by logo/copyright laws.	Good Pin has color. Explanation is included but could be clearer. Pin abides by logo/copyright laws.	Excellent/Outstanding Pin is in color, understood easily and includes explanation. Has original work--no logo/copyright infringements.
