Emerging Demonstrates good knowledge of choreography. Keeps up with group. Few errors, however it does not interfere with performance.	Needs Development Demonstrates little knowledge of choreography, unsure of some movements, hesitates, watches others and makes several errors.	Not Evident Demonstrates no knowledge of choreography, unsure of most movements. Makes several errors.	Total Score
Technical skills	Proficient Dance performed with great attention to quality of movement, body position, placement in relation to the group and other details of dance.	Emerging Dance performed with attention to details of technique, has attained proficiency in dance style.	Needs Development Lack of understanding of technical elements (ie. footwork, quality of movements, body positions) demonstrated in performance.	Not Evident Demonstrates no understanding of technical elements in performance.	Total Score
Rhythm/Tempo	Proficient Shows a complete understanding of tempo and beat and stays on rhythm throughout the dance.	Emerging Accurate in beat, tempo, rhythms of dance sequences throughout the dance.
