A Point 10 % How well does your opening grab the reader's attention and make a point?	Poor Opening simply restates the topic.	Fair Opening grabs readers attention and makes a point in a unique way.	Good Opening makes a point and uses vivd detail and concise dialogue to put the reader immediately into the story.
Angle 20 % How well does your essay make your account unique and more meaningful than others with the same experience?	Poor Essay shows no attempt to show uniqueness.	Fair Essay shows some elements of meaningful uniqueness, but is not continued throughout the essay.	Good Essay contains a unique account that adds a more meaningful account and enhances the quality of the writing.
Voice 30 % How well does your essay tell the reader about you?	Poor Essay does not tell much about the writer.	Fair Essay explains some things about the writer, but does not distinguish the writer from others.	Good Essay clearly demonstrates how the writer is unique and separates the writer from other writers.
Subtance 40 % How much detail have you put into your essay?	Poor Essay contains little to no detail.	Fair Essay contains some detail.	Good Essay contains vivid detail which appeals to multiple senses.
Grammar All spelling and sentence errors will be 5 point deductions from final grade.
