Students wrote the report but had some incomplete sentences, and grammar errors.
Good

Students wrote the report with few grammatical errors, and no incomplete sentences.
Excellent

Students wrote the report and had no grammatical errors, and used complete sentences.
Organization

Students organized thoughts and included the 5 W's.

Poor

Student has no order to the report, and lacks structure on the assignment.
Fair

Students use at least 2 of the 5 W's, but lacks organization.
Good

Students use all of the 5 W's, and is fairly organized. The report flows in the correct order.
Excellent

Students use all 5 W's , the report flows nicely, and there was significant effort put into this.
On the topic

Report is actually about an African American that influenced math.

Poor

The African American that the student chose has not influenced math.
Fair

The African American influenced math, but the student did not write the majority of the report about this.
Good

The student stayed on topic, and included examples of how they influenced the mathmatical world.
Excellent

The student was on topic, gave examples, and included a sketch or some type of artistic drawing involving the African American.
