DANCE PERFORMANCE
	Approaching 5 pts	Meeting 8 pts	Exceeding 10 pts
Rhythm/Tempo	Approaching Attempts to keep a rhythm, but gets off beat and speeds up or falls behind often. Doesn't follow beat in music.	Meeting Shows a basic understanding of tempo and beat, but sometimes falls behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm.	Exceeding Accurate in beat, tempo, rhythms of dance sequences.
Memory	Approaching Not really. Student tends to follow others and has no knowledge of sequence order on their own.	Meeting Somewhat. Student knows most of sequence order still makes errors and follows.	Exceeding Yes! Student has mastered sequence order and is able to perform on their own.
Dynamics/Efforts	Approaching Not really Student is moving through sequence without proper dynamics and intention. Student is marking the movement.	Meeting Pretty Much Student is applying the proper dynamics but loses focus and energy through sequence.	Exceeding Yes! Student has mastered dynamics and efforts in executing the sequence.
Technique	Approaching Movements are known but not mastered	Meeting Movements are more defined and student has developed some skill mastery.	Exceeding Student has mastered focus of movement utilizing concepts for development fully.
Effort to Learn Dance	Approaching Minimal effort.	Meeting Some effort put forth.	Exceeding Worked hard to learn dance!
Music Choice	Approaching Not clean at all.	Meeting Some inappropriate language.	Exceeding Clean!
