Dice Welding Project Dice Welding Project This project will show the student's ability to weld by creating metal dice out of strap metal. Rubric Code: E2484BA By doraspeirs Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Vocational Type: Project Grade Levels: 9-12

Welding Dice
	Poor 4 pts	Fair 7 pts	Good 10 pts
Squareness	Poor The joints of the dice are not square, either greater than 100 degrees or less than 80 degrees.	Fair The joints of the dice are in between 95 degrees and 100 degrees, or 85 degrees and 80 degrees.	Good The joints are 90 degrees at each joint.
Holes	Poor Dots are not in the proper location and the student did not grind or finish after Oxyfuel cutting.	Fair Student grinded and completed finishing the holes after Oxyfuel cutting, and the holes are not in the proper location.	Good The dots are in the proper location. Student grinded and completed finishing the holes after Oxyfuel cutting.
Appearance of Dice	Poor The dice's overall look is very sloppy, no grinding has been done, or grinding is very sloppy.	Fair The dice's appearance is somewhat sloppy. Grinding has been done but is incomplete, or over ground.	Good The dice's overall appearance is excellent. Grinding has been done well, and looks nice. A finish has been added to the dice to make it look unique.
Welds	Poor Welds are not neatly done and more than one burn hole is visible.	Fair Welds are somewhat neatly completed. One burn through is visible.	Good Welds are neatly completed. No holes are visible in the dice from burn throughs.
Safety	Poor Student did not practice any of the safety practices taught during the course.	Fair Student practiced some of the welding practices taught during the course.	Good The Student practiced all of the safety practices taught during the course
