Poor Frequently does not display correct Posture/Hand Position in class rehearsals	Fair Only displays correct Posture/Hand Position a small amount of time in class rehearsals	Good Displays correct Posture/Hand Position some of the time in class rehearsals.	Excellent Displays correct Posture/Hand Position most of the time in class rehearsals.
On Task	Unacceptable Does not learn music due to a significant time off task and not paying attention to instruction.	Poor Has learned very little music due to a majority of time spent off task.	Fair Has only learned a small amount music in rehearsals due to time off task.	Good Has learned some of the music and stays on task and focused some of the time.	Excellent Maintains focus and stays on task most of the time during rehearsals.
Folder/Pencil/Materials	Unacceptable Does not have folder/music and/or is missing most (or all) of the material; Never has a pencil and/or other materials.	Poor Frequently does not have music for rehearsal and/or is missing some material; rarely has a pencil and/or other materials.	Fair Forgetting folder and music is a recurring problem and materials are messy or missing; has a pencil and/or other materials on occasion.	Good Folder is somewhat complete and student has folder more than 50% of the time; students has pencil and/or other materials more than 50% of the time. Overall Effort	Unacceptable Does not stay focused, is frequently distracted and puts forth very little effort.	Poor Is frequently lost in music and puts forth minimal effort in class.	Fair Student puts for some effort but has room to grow.	Good Student displays effort that helps the overall sound of the group but has room for improvement.	Excellent Student tries hard most of the time but has an occasional lack of effort.
