Good The information is mostly accurate though at times disjointed. The student includes unrelated information that is never woven into a comprehensive story.	Outstanding The story incorporates accurate information about life in the ancient world. The student develops a comprehensive narrative.
Creativity	Poor The student did not form an appropriate response to the assignment.	Needs significant improvement The student does not construct a meaningful narrative. Characters might be named but are not developed in any way.	Fair The student attempts a narrative, but includes large sections of material paraphrased from the textbook or notes. The story fails to develop any well defined characters.	Good The student creates a somewhat fluid narrative, but relies too heavily on material paraphrased from the textbook or notes. The characters are defined somewhat.	Outstanding The student develops a fluid coherent narrative. Characters are fleshed out and described in interesting detail.
