Evidence Based Presentation 
In clinical groups, students will present a complete overview of the assigned chronic disease. Resources will be textbooks and at least two evidence based nursing articles. Presentations should be 20-25 minutes in length and include a variety of teaching/learning modalities (hand-outs, technology, audio/visual,posters etc.) to enhance the presentation. Presentations will be group peer reviewed.

Relevancy to practice

Presentation must include at least two evidence based nursing articles and explain application to practice

Poor

Presentation reflects little knowledge of subject matter.
Fair

Presentation reflects some understanding of subject matter but no real understanding of its application to current nursing practice. Evidence based nursing articles or application to practice not included.
Good

Presentation demonstrates the application to current nursing practice in a clear and concise manner. Only one Evidence based nursing article is included.
Excellent

Presentation demonstrates the application of the topic to current nursing practice in a clear and concise manner. Shows clear understanding of the relationship between evidence based nursing article and practice. Two current evidence based nursing articles are included
Eye contact/voice

Poor

Students had no or minimal eye contact. Students' voices were inaudible, they mumbled, or were otherwise not understood
Fair

Students occasionally used eye contact. Students' voices were difficult to hear, used "ums" or other fillers
Good

Student maintained eye contact most of the time. Voice was clear and understandable, minimal fillers used
Excellent

Student maintained excellent eye contact and was easily understood. Spoke about subject with authority and ease.
Peer Review

Presentations are rated by class peers and points awarded based on participation and feedback of classmates.

Poor

Class rating is poor.
Fair

Class rating is fair.
Good

Class rating is good.
Excellent

Class rating is excellent.
