Puppets Puppets should be constructed of materials that can be seen at a distance of 10 feet.	Excellent Puppets are original, creative, well constructed, and easily visible. No pieces fell off during the performance.	Good Puppets are original and well constructed. No pieces fell off during the performance.	Fair Puppets were ready made. No pieces fell off during performance.	Poor Puppets were not complete, well constructed, OR pieces fell off during performance.
Expression Puppeteer should be expressive and change for each character.	Excellent Puppeteer's voice showed a lot of expression and emotion. It was obvious the student had practiced.	Good Puppeteer's voice showed some expression and emotion but student should have practiced a little more.	Fair Puppeteer's voice showed a little expression and emotion but the performance did not appear to be practiced.	Poor Puppeteer's voice was monotone and did not show expression OR the puppeteer laughed or giggled inappropriately during the performance OR the performance was obviously not planned or practiced.
Voice Projection	Excellent Puppeteer was always audible and the audience could clearly understand.	Good Puppeteer was usually audible to the audience.	Fair Puppeteer was sometimes audible to the audience, but the audience may not have followed the entire show due to inability to hear.	Poor Puppeteer was rarely audible and the audience was not engaged because they could not hear.
Puppet Manipulation	Excellent Puppeteer always manipulated puppets so audience could see them. The puppets were manipulated in a way that made sense to the audience.	Good Puppeteer usually manipulated the puppets so the audience could see them.	Fair Puppeteer sometimes manipulated the puppets so the audience could see them.	Poor Puppeteer rarely manipulated the puppets and they mostly remained in the same place.
