Needs Improvement

Lines do not correctly correspond with vanishing point(s) in majority of perspective components of the design. Most of the parallel and/or vertical lines are incorrectly drawn.
Average

Some objects/lines are taken to the proper vanishing point(s). Some parallel and/or vertical lines are correctly placed within design. Perspective is correctly represented in some areas.
Good

Most objects/lines are taken to the proper vanishing point(s). Most parallel and vertical lines are correctly drawn. Overall perspective is correctly represented with few errors.
Excellent

Majority to all of the objects/lines are taken to the proper vanishing point(s). Parallel/vertical lines are correctly drawn and perspective components are correctly used in the design.
Use of Color and Shading

- color and value/shading is used correctly

Needs Improvement

Application of color and shading within design is weak and causes large areas to seem unfinished. Color value should be lighter as elements appear to vanish into the distance.
Average

Color application and shading is noticeably helpful to overall appearance of work. Areas are present that seem rushed and shading needs some improvement.
Good

Good use of color and shading is evident. Notable effort in application is evident and value shows understanding of atmospheric conditions associated with perspective art work.
Excellent

Color application is vivid and thoughtfully used in majority of the design. Shading correctly represents the dark to light aspects of atmospheric conditions in perspective works of art.
Visual Interest

- elements of visual interest have been added

Needs Improvement

Little to no attempt made to enhance design with interesting details and additions.
Average

Some attempt to include visual details is evident but overall design lacks visual interest.
Good

Good attempt at including visual components that add to the interest of the design as a whole. Details added are mostly correctly applied in conjunction with perspective elements.
Excellent

Details successfully add visual interest and are compliments of the perspective components. Overall design is interesting and well planned.
Neat, Clean & Complete

- art work is neat and looks balanced and complete

Needs Improvement

Majority of design seems unfinished and/or rushed. Lines, color application, etc. were not neatly rendered.
Average

Some areas appear unfinished and overall work needs to be more precise and neat. Effort is average but notable.
Good

Good attempt noted in making project neat, clean, and complete. Minimal improvement needed in a few areas.
Excellent

Majority to all areas and components of the design are neatly rendered. As a whole, the work looks balanced and complete.

- attentively following instructions given

Needs Improvement

Time was not well spent during class and resulted in less than satisfactory finished work. During explanation and instructions, student was not paying proper attention.
Average

Class time could have been better used to produce a more successful work of art. Some instruction was applied but important details weren't properly followed.
Good

Majority of class time was wisely used in focusing on production of successful art work project. Good evidence of attention and implementation of instruction is notable.
