Minimal The essay addresses some aspect of the prompt. Includes distinctive paragraphs (Intro, Body, Conclusion). Editing was not complete. Rough draft is the final draft or recopied exactly.	Developing The essay addresses part of the prompt completely, but some aspects of prompt are weakly addressed. Some reflective thought was demonstrated. All three parts of essay were complete (Intro, Body, Conclusion). Grammar is acceptable.	Achieving The essay addresses each part of the prompt completely in good grammar. Paper has direct examples from classroom instruction. The essay clearly demonstrates reflection and growth. All three parts of the essay (Intro, Body, Conclusion). The sentences have smooth transistions. Some meaningful feedback to the teacher.	Exceptional The essay addresses each part of the prompt completely. Well thought out essay that flows smoothly. No grammatical errors. Student clearly relates what has happened in class to their own changes in understanding. Essay provides meaningful feedback to teacher.
