Historical Time Period Newspaper Historical Time Period Newspaper Students are to design and produce their own newspaper. Each student group will produce a newspaper that covers events of a particular historical time period. Organization	Exceeds Newspaper is clearly and neatly organized and visually appealing to the audience.	Meets Newspaper is clearly and neatly organized. It is easily understood by audience.	Meets w/Assistance Newspaper is organized, but could be neater or more easily understood.	In Progress Newspaper is somewhat organzied, but not easily understood by the uninformed reader. Construction is not neat.	Academic Warning There is no or little organization evident in the newspaper. Constuction is sloppy.
Presentation & Illustrations	Exceeds The newspaper is well designed, representing an actual paper. Students go above and beyond to make the newspaper page look as close to real as possible. Participation	Exceeds The students in the group participated fully and all had a major role in the development of the newspaper.	Meets The students in the group participated fully and most had some impact on the development of the newspaper.	Meets w/Assistance The students in the group participated, but some did not fully impact the development of the newspaper.	In Progress Several students in the group had partial participation, but others had no impact on the development of the newspaper.
