Script Development 20 pts	Exemplary The script is interesting, clear, and easy to follow with little to no errors. The script also maintains fidelity with the story dialogue and action.	Accomplished The script is interesting, clear, and easy to follow with a few minor errors in writing and spelling that do not detract from meaning. The script is mostly accurate to the story dialogue and action.	Proficient Most of the script is interesting, but contains more than a few errors in writing and spelling. The script is mostly accurate, but may include some dialogue or action unrelated to the story.	Developing Most of the script is not clear and is not interesting. It is hard for the audience to follow the topic. The script strays from the topic or theme.
Voice Projection 20 pts	Exemplary Excellent voice projection.	Accomplished Voice was usually audible to the entire audience with few errors.	Proficient Voice was occasionally audible to the entire audience, but sometimes could not be heard.	Developing Voice was rarely audible to the entire audience.
Expression 20 pts	Exemplary Consistent expression throughout reading of script.	Accomplished Mostly consistent expression throughout reading of script.	Proficient Some expression was given in the performance.	Developing Little to no expression was given in the performance.
Performance 20 pts	Exemplary Students are well prepared and deliver the piece in a fluid, easy manner and display enthusiasm.	Accomplished Students appear to be fairly prepared and are enthusiastic. There are few (less than 3) hesitations but they don't distract much from the performance.	Proficient Students try to show a little enthusiasm but do not appear confident about what they are doing. There are 3-5 hesitations and long pauses.	Developing Students do not seem to be aware of what they should be doing at all. They display little or no enthusiasm. There are more than 5 hesitations, confusions of turns to read and long pauses.
