Listens to Follow Directions	Exceeds The student always follows multi-step directions with self-initiated requests for clarification as appropriate.	Meets The student usually follows multi-step directions.	Partially Meets The student sometimes follows multi-step directions and often requires some repetition or additional prompting.	Does not meet The student rarely follows multi-step directions without being broken into single steps and then requires prompting to carry out.
Listening Behaviors	Exceeds The student is visibly attentive to speaker with settled posture and visual attention to speaker.	Meets The student appears attentive to speaker.	Partially Meets The student is sometimes visually inattentive to speaker.	Does not meet The student is often inattentive to speaker.
Engages with Instruction Verbally	Exceeds The student frequently comments on presented information; does not need prompts from teacher to offer comment.	Meets The student usually comments on presented information, often does not need prompting from teacher.	Partially Meets The student sometimes fails to comment on presented information or needs prompting to do so.	Does not meet The student rarely comments.
Applies Information	Exceeds The student frequently and actively uses information from classroom discussion in school work independently.	Meets The student usually uses/applies information from classroom discussion to school work.	Partially Meets The student sometimes uses information in work, and may require prompts to do so.	Does not meet The student rarely uses information or discussion topic in work.
