Distinguished Answer is rich in detail, utilizes resources effectively and exhibits prior knowledge through out answer.
Sentence Structure/Grammar Student exhibits correction punctuation and grammar. No run-on sentences, and details are clear.	Poor Little to no sense of sentence structure, punctuation, or grammar	Adequate Basic word choice and sentence structure.	Distinguished Uses effective language and variety of vocabulary. Sentences are diversified and well structured. Grammar and punctuation are correct.
Data Analysis Student accurately represents data provided in their answer. Being aware to identify the issues that the scientists have addressed.	Poor Fails to identify the key pieces of information outlined in the study and misrepresents the facts presented.	Adequate Overall presentation of the data is correct and the issues noted in the study are evident.	Distinguished Effectively outlines the issue presented in the study, correctly utilizing the data provided as well as using prior knowledge.
Organization Student logically organizes answers to posed questions. As well as posing well constructed questions	Poor Answers and/or questions lack clarity and organization. Sentences are broken and illogical.	Adequate Basic organization and clarity through most of the answer and questions.
