	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Content Accuracy	Poor Student attempts to correctly sequence and retell but is unable to complete task with prompting and modeling	Fair Student attempts to correctly sequence and retell but is unable to complete task without prompting and modeling	Good Student can correctly sequence and retell the story without promptingn or modeling.
Attending to a short story	Poor Student was unable to attend to the verbally and visually presented story	Fair Sat quietly quietly but was not attending to the presented story	Good Student attended to story by demonstrating age appropriate listening skills
Class Participation	Poor Student was unable to pay attention or stay on task. Student did not participate in classroom discussion or activity.	Fair Listened quietly and stayed on task but did not answer questions when asked or participate in classroom discussion.	Good Student stayed on task and participated fully in classroom discussion and activity.
