Magazine Cover Project Magazine Cover Project Create a magazine cover that looks like a real magazine. Choose the title of the publication. Then, be sure you include a title, photos, headline articles, dateline and follow a theme. Be creative and make the finished product look as professional as possible. Magazine Title 10 pts	Great Choose a title that can reflect the audience you are trying to reach. It must be school appropriate.	Good Title does not reflect the targeted audience. It is still creative.	Fair Does not follow expectations. Is not creative.	Poor The title does not meet any of the criteria.
Article Headline 10 pts	Great Article headline is interesting and attracts the audience into the cover.	Good Article titles do not attract the audience into the cover.	Fair Titles unrelated to theme of cover.	Poor No titles
Cover Images 10 pts	Great Image is in focus , compelling and brings the reader into the magazine.	Good Image is not in focus; it lacks clarity, and/ or the subject matter is not in line with magazine. Image does not attract reader to the cover.	Fair Image is of poor quality and does not add to the overall quality of the magazine cover. The image detracts from the magazine.	Poor Photo is missing. Photo is self portrait. Photo was taken by someone else.
Graphics/Color 10 pts	Great Colors/graphics are used to add interest to the cover. color is used to effectively bring in reader.	Good Colors/graphics used does not bring in the viewer. The use of colors/graphics are ineffective.	Fair color/graphic used is plain. It shows no research.	Poor colors or graphics are used ineffectively.
Issue date 10 pts	Great Issue date is conveniently located on publication.	Good Issue and date are located on the front of the publication.	Fair did not follow issue and date expectations.	Poor No Issue date
