Collect all buttons that have come off or is coming off. If there are missing buttons find/purchase replacement for it.
Match the thread color with the garment.
Tie a knot by rolling it off the forefinger. Start sewing of the button on the right side of the garment. Go through the button holes several times. Twist the thread around the bottom of the button several times to make sure it's secure. Tie off the end of the thread under the button.
Cut any loose thread
The grament looks great and and buttons are securely on the shirt/blouse etc.
