Alteration-Sew on a button/shank 
This rubric will be use to assess student as they learn how to properly alterate garments. The client will also have an opportunity to give the student feed back as they perform the alterations.

Sewing of button(s)

Tie a knot by rolling it off the forefinger. Start sewing of the button on the right side of the garment. Go through the button holes several times. Twist the thread around the bottom of the button several times to make sure it's secure. Tie off the end of the thread under the button.
