Individual Fitness Rubric
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Very Good 4 pts	Excellent 5 pts
Student Effort	Poor Student displays little or no effort. Rarely tries and often sits out during the activity.	Fair Student lacks effort. Sometimes tries to participate, but doesn't do very much once the activity has started. Occasionally sits out.	Good Student displays good effort. The student tries to do their best. Occasionally stands around during the activity, but overall, participation is satisfactory.	Very Good Student displays very good effort. The student almost always tries their hardest during the activity. Is rarely seen standing around.	Excellent Student displays excellent effort during activities. Always tries their hardest and is never seen standing around during the activity.
Fairplay	Poor Student displays little or no fairplay. Rarely follows the rules and is often seen arguing with other students.	Fair Student displays lack of fairplay. Sometimes follows the rules and also argues with other students.	Good Student displays a good sense of fairplay. The student usually follows the rules and occasionally argues with other students, but overall, their progress is satisfactory.	Very Good Student displays a very good sense of fairplay. The student almost always follows the rules and rarely argues with other students.	Excellent Student displays an excellent sense of fairplay. The student always follows the rules and never argues with the other students.
Understanding and Skill	Poor Student displays little or no understanding of the activity. Student displays little or no skill in the activity.	Fair Student displays lack of understanding of the activity. Student lacks skill in the activity.	Good Student displays a good sense of understanding of the activity. Student is able to display a fair amount of skill during the activity.	Very Good Student displays a very good sense of understanding of the activity. Student is able to display a relatively high amount of skill during the activity.	Excellent Student displays an excellent sense of understanding of the activity. Student is also able to display an excellent amount of skill during the activity.
Team Work	Poor Student does not work with other students to accomplish task.	Fair Student works with students on occasion.	Good Student works with students on more than one occasion.	Very Good Student works with students well but does not understand how to perform with others efficiently.	Excellent Student works well with others frequently and understands how to efficiently work as a team.
