Engineering Design Process

Plan	Poor Little or no evidence was planned out. They did not plan what they were going to build nor plan on what materials to use in the building.	Fair Some evidence of a plan. There was some thought to materials/building, but not really thought out.	Good Good evidence of planning done. Materials were listed and thought out, but the plan wasn't quite complete.	Excellent Clear evidence of a plan is completed. All materials were listed and well thought out. Teamwork was also used throughout the planning process.
Design	Poor Your design lacked materials that were needed. It difficult to tell what was being built.	Fair Some materials were used correctly.	Good Good use of the materials and plan. The car was nice and well put together, but there were parts that weren't well made.	Excellent Great use of materials! You maximized your use of materials and created a great wind racer.
Time Management	Poor Did not use time well. Time was wasted during the plan, design, and testing phase of engineering.	Fair Sometimes used time well. There were times when the group got off task during the plan, design, and testing phase.	Good Good use of time. There were a few times when the group got off task, but for the majority of the task time was well spent.	Excellent Great use of time. The group stayed on task during each phase of the process.
Data Collection	Poor The car's distance was not accurate did not meet standards	Fair Part of the distances was met but not enough to meet standards	Good Distance was met but only met on level requirements.	Excellent Distance met and above standards requirement.
Participation	Poor All or Some group members had to be reminded several times to stay on task.	Fair Most group members participated during the building process. The group had to be redirected a few times.	Good The majority of the group members worked together and didn't have to be redirected that much at all.	Excellent All group members worked together flawlessly and got the job done. The group never had to be redirected.
