Fair

Neither of the equations are written accurately.
Poor

The equations are not written.
Graph for each equation

Excellent

Accurate line graphs exist for both equations.
Good

Accurate line graphs exist for 1 equation.
Fair

Both of the line graphs are inaccurate.
Poor

Neither of the equations are graphed.
Accurate solutions

Excellent

The point of intersection is accurately identified and labeled.
Good

The point of intersection is identified on the graph.
Fair

The lines intersect, but the point of intersection is not easily identified.
Poor

The point of intersection is not on the graph.
Explanation

Excellent

The response correctly justifies why the two planes should not fly in these paths, so that they can avoid a collision. The exact point of intersection is given.
Good

The response correctly justifies why the two planes should not fly in these paths, so that they can avoid a collision.
Fair

The response only indicates that the two planes would collide if they were on these two flight paths.
Poor

No reason is given.
Writing Mechanics

Excellent
