Completion, Spelling and Grammar	Not Acceptable Comic strip is not complete.	You Can Do Better Comic strip dialogue is complete, but there are four or more inaccuracies in spelling and grammar.	Good Comic strip dialogue is complete. There may be two to three mistakes in spelling and grammar.	Excellent Comic strip is complete. There is no more than one error in spelling and grammar.
Spelling Words	Not Acceptable No spelling words are used or all are used with incorrect meaning.	You Can Do Better Spelling words are used, but with incorrect meanings.	Good Spelling words are used with correct meanings. However, the spelling words may appear to have little importance in the storyline of the comic strip.	Excellent Spelling words are used with correct meaning, and add to the storyline.
Dialogue	Not Acceptable Dialogue was done with little effort.	You Can Do Better Dialogue was done with moderate effort.	Good Choice of words for the dialogue is good. There are few inaccuracies.	Excellent Dialogue is very well done, and is creative. Clearly much effort went into creating the dialogue.
Storyline	Not Acceptable Storyline was done with little effort.	You Can Do Better Storyline was done with moderate effort.	Good Storyline holds the reader's interest.	Excellent Storyline is creative and/or funny.
