Format	Poor Entries are not typed, and lack paragraph formatting, dates, or titles.	Fair Entries are typed, single spaced, without paragraph formatting. Each piece has a date.	Good Entries are typed, single spaced, and have some paragraph formatting. Each piece has date and title.
Amount	Poor Volume of writing shows evidence that student wrote 1/2 of page per day.	Fair Volume of writing shows evidence that student used time effectively wrote 3/4 of a page per day.	Good Volume of writing shows evidence that student wrote 1 page per day.
Quality of Content	Poor Many entries seem to have been written in haste, without much thought given to content.	Fair Some entries seem to have been written in haste, without much thought given to content.	Good All entries seem to have been written to the best of the student's abilities with full attention to content.
