American Revolution skit XYZ Affair skit As a group, you will write a skit for an event from the American Revolution and present it with your group. The students are being graded both individually and as a group. Rubric Code: AX92XAC By dhuerta Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: History Type: Presentation Grade Levels: 6-8

Performance Rubric
	Poor 0 pts	Fair 5 pts	Good 7 pts	Excellent 10 pts
Group participation	Poor The group was totally unorganized and the presentation was poor.	Fair Some students did not participate or gave very little effort.	Good Most students contributed to the success of the performance and gave 100% effort.	Excellent All students work well together. Every student had at least one line.
Rehearsal	Poor Student did not memorize his/her lines. Read from note cards. Class time was wasted.	Fair Student memorized some of his/her lines, but needed help at times disrupting the flow of the presentation.	Good Student memorized most of his/her lines. May has a couple of hesitations.	Excellent The students presentation flowed without interruption. All students knew when to speak and remembered their lines.
Content	Poor The students strayed too far from the event making it historically inaccurate.	Fair The skit was somewhat accurate. It missed many details.	Good The skit was mostly accurate, but missed a few details.	Excellent It was accurate and presented in a creative manner.
Performance	Poor The student was unclear or inaudible.	Fair The student was audible but monotone.	Good The student was audible with some expression.	Excellent The student was loud and clear. Gestures, intonation, and expression was evident.
Script	Poor Incomplete, messy, or many errors.	Fair Script has the correct format, but not typed or has some errors.	Good Script has the correct format. May have a few errors.	Excellent Script is neat, typed, and error free.
