Minimal Defining Lists
	Meets Expectation 3 pts	Working Toward 2 pts	Below Expectation 1 pts
Content	Meets Expectation Definition includes all criteria. The correct number of sides and vertices are identified.	Working Toward Definition is almost complete. The definition may be missing one or two specific criteria.	Below Expectation Definition is imcomplete. The definition is missing more than two criteria.
Representation	Meets Expectation Two accurate pictures, examples, or representations are created or identified. Two accurate non-examples are created by a picture, example or representation.	Working Toward One accurate picture, example, or representation is created or identified. One accurate non-example is created by a picture, example or representation.	Below Expectation No example or non-example is represented.
Communication	Meets Expectation Student writes and orally explains the minimal defining list with group and teacher.	Working Toward Student writes OR orally explains the minimal defining list with group and teacher.	Below Expectation Student does not write and is unable to orally explain the defining list with group and teacher.
Participation	Meets Expectation Student is actively participating in group work.	Working Toward Student is somewhat actively participating in group work.	Below Expectation Student is disengaged in group work.
