- Entries are good and show the writer is thinking deeply about the topic and attempting to reach an insightful response the prompt with evidence to back up claims

- Student has a complete entry, but may not offer complete ideas, depth of thought or evidence concerning the topic
Lacking proficiency (60%-65%
- Entry feels rushed and lacks much depth of thought
- Student needs to put more effort into developing his/her ideas with critical thought and evidence

- Entry is simplistic and is a surface-level interpretation of the topic
