Fitness Assessment 
This fitness assessment is designed to test different levels and to act as a "benchmark" for present and future fitness assessments. This test has five (4) sections: sit-up test, push up test, 1-mile run test, and sit and reach test.

0-12 push ups in one minute. Aerobic capacity/upper body strength is extremely low at this time and needs improvement.
Average

12-20 push ups in one minute. Aerobic capacity/upper body strength is average, but could be improved.
Very Good

21-29 push ups in one minute. Aerobic capacity/upper body strength has met requirements.
Excellent

more than 30 push ups in one minute. Aerobic capacity/upper body strength has exceeded requirements.
Sit-up (until failure)

Poor

0-20 sit ups in one minute. Aerobic capacity is extremely low at this time and needs improvement.
Average

21-49 sit ups in one minute. Aerobic capacity is average, but could be improved.
Very Good

49-59 sit ups in one minute. Aerobic capacity has met requirements.
Excellent

60 sit ups or more in one minute. Aerobic capacity has exceeded requirements.
1-mile Run

Poor

A 1-mile run time of 13 minutes or higher.
Average

A 1-Mile run time between 10 minutes and 13 minutes.
Very Good

A 1-Mile run time between 7 minutes and 10 minutes.
Excellent

A 1-mile run time of 7 minutes or below.
Modified Sit & Reach

Poor

0 - 7 inches
Average

7 - 13 inches
Very Good

14 - 17 inches
Excellent

17 inches or more
