Criteria
	Beginning Level Student is performing far below grade level. 1 pts	Basic Level Student is performing below grade level. 2 pts	Proficient Level Student is performing at grade level. 3 pts	Advanced Level Student is performing above average. 4 pts
Tempo	Beginning Level Tempo fluctuates a lot. Frequent rushing and dragging.	Basic Level Tempo is different from the printed tempo markings, resulting in inappropriate tempos.	Proficient Level Tempo approaches the printed tempo markings, yet the performed tempo does not detract.	Advanced Level Tempo is accurate and consistent with the printed tempo markings. Phrasing and articulation are approached in sensitivity to the tempo.
Rhythmic Accuracy	Beginning Level There are many wrong rhythm figures that detracted from the overall performance. Student was unable to complete passages.	Basic Level There are some wrong rhythm figures, included short continuous sections of imprecision.	Proficient Level A few wrong rhythm figures included minor continuous sections of imprecision. Did not detract from overall performance.	Advanced Level No rhythm errors, overall accurate performance.
Posture	Beginning Level Poor posture	Basic Level Student gives some effort to have correct posture but fails to maintain consistent good posture throughout the performance.	Proficient Level Student attempts to have correct posture but creates tension in sound. Some inconsistencies in posture.	Advanced Level Ideal posture demonstrated. Student is poised and demonstrates pride without having overly stiff posture.
