Retelling Rubric
	Good 2 pts	Fair 1 pts	Poor 0 pts
Content	Good Student includes the main idea and at least 3 supporting details in his/her retelling.	Fair Student includes main idea and 1-2 supporting details in his/her retelling.	Poor Student doesn't include the main idea and no supporting details in his/her retelling.
Sequence	Good Student retells all the important events in the sequence or order they happened.	Fair Student retells some of the important events in the sequence or order they happened.	Poor Student doesn't retell any of the important events in the sequence or order they happened.
Characters	Good Student includes the names of all the main characters in his her retelling of the story.	Fair Student includes the names of half of the main characters in his/her retelling of the story.	Poor Student doesn't include the names of any main characters in his/her retelling of the story.
Problem/Solution	Good Student includes the problem/solution in his/her retelling.	Fair Student includes either the problem or solution in his/her retelling but not both.	Poor Student doesn't include the problem/solution in his/her retelling.
Opinion	Good Student give his/her opinion about the story and provides a reason for the opinion.	Fair Student give his/her opinion about the story but does not provide reason.	Poor Student does not give his/her opinion about the story.
