Literary Essay 
Students were asked to read a grade level text, develop a thesis about a central character or the text itself. Then organize their ideas into an essay, with introductory paragraph containing a thesis statement; supporting body paragraphs containing proof from the text, transtion words, and ending with a concluding paragraph which restates the thesis.
