Jump Shot

Poor

Two handed shot both hands on the side slightly behind the ball. The shot starts from the chest and finish about eye level. The ball travels flat or on a slight arch. The knees bend slightly but feet do not leave the floor.
Fair

Two hands still behind the ball but the shot is starts above the head. A greater arch is present than before. The knees bend slightly going into a slight jump. The hands follow through the ball.
Good

The hands have now shifted with the dominant hand directly behind the ball and the other hand along the side of the ball. The knees bend into a slight jump. There is an arch in the shot.
Great

The hands are still in the correct position from level 3, though the fingers on the dominant hand are now spread open. The dominant arm forms an 'L' in front of the body of the shooter. The knees bend and jump slightly. The hands follow through consistently with the wrists flicking at the end.
Dribbling

Poor

Student must remain stationary in order to maintain the dribble. The student uses both hands at the same time to dribble.
Fair

The student can dribble while in motion. The student can use their dominant hand but maybe not able to use their non-dominant hand.
Good

The student can jog while dribbling the ball. They are capable of using either hand and only bring the ball up to their hip level.
Great

The student can run and change directions while dribbling. They are proficient in using both hands. The ball is dribbled consistently between the level of the knees and the hips.
