Chorus Aditions 
This is used to determine my Chorus students for the school year. Chorus Audtions are open at all Middle School students. Auditions will determine vocal placement in the chorus.

Overall Intonation

Student needs to be able to sing in his/ her correct vocal range.

Excellent

Student sang his/her correct range the entire time. All notes were in tune. Excellent ability to listen and hear pitch. Accurate and secure.
Good

Student sang in his/her range most of the time. Majority of the notes were in tune.
Satisfactory

Student sang in his/her range most of the time. Some of the notes were out of tune.
Fair

Student sang in his/her range some of the time. Most of the notes were in tune. He/She is able to hear pitch, but not finding the center.
Poor

Student was unable to sing in his/her range. Notes consistently out of tune.
Song 1

Student will need sing a song taught by the director in a previous class

Excellent

Student was able to sing the whole song with good intonation. All the notes were in tune. Student was confident about the song/performance.
Good

Student was able to sing the whole song with good intonation. All the notes were in tune. Student was confident about the song/performance
Satisfactory

Student was able to match most of the songs pitches. Student seemed confident, but still seemed to struggle during the song/performance.
Fair

Student was able to match some of the pitches of the song. Most of the notes are out of tune.

Student was unable to sing the song using good intonation. Student was unable to match the pitches in the song. Student does not seem confident about the song/ performance

Student will sing a choice of his/her choice

Excellent

Student was able to sing the whole song with good intonation. All the notes were in tune. Student was confident about the song/performance
