Quote Book Quote Book Student will create a book of 10 quotes taken directly from the book they have just read. Cite the page and line number and explain why the quote is significant. 	Excellent 25 pts	Fair 15 pts	Poor 10 pts
Layout	Excellent The book is neat, typed, and has a creative cover, page numbers. Each page is colorful or creative with drawings (geometric shapes, colored paper or different colored fonts)	Fair The book is neat, typed and has a creative cover. Most page numbers are present and most pages are colorful and include creative, drawings or colorful fonts. Student could have used more time in making the book presentable.	Poor The project is not neat, or typed. The cover is not creative or was hastily completed. Page numbers are either incorrect or are missing. Drawings were hasily done, and may lack color. No thought to design is evident.
25 quotes Present	Excellent A minimum of 25 inciteful and relevant quotes were cited. They are all in quotation marks and include page and line numbers where they can be found.	Fair 20 inciteful and relevant quotes are cited. All are in quotation marks and incluide the page and line number where they can be found.	Poor Less than 20 quotes are cited or are not relevant to the story. Page and line numbers are not included.
Interpretation	Excellent Student completely explains why the quotes are relevant or signifcant to the story.	Fair Student explains why the quotes are relevant and important to the story.	Poor Student does not adequately explain why quotes are relevant or necessary to the story.
Conventions	Excellent There are less than two errors in spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation	Fair There are less than 3-5 errors in spelling, grammar, capitalizationa and punctuation.	Poor There are more than 5 errors in spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation.
