Rubric for Interactive Science Notebook

Vocabulary Builder: Students will define, illustrate a new vocabulary term as well as use the new vocabulary in a context appropriate sentence.

Students create a science model, and present their model. The model should be based on a scientific concept that is based on a topic of the student's choosing.

Students will design and create a demo of a body undergoing projectile motion. Students will be able to calculate the initial velocity of their body using kinematic equations. Students will use kinematic equations to adjust catapult to hit a given target.

7/8 Lab Report Rubric

Using your experience as a coder and escape room expert, create a 6 step escape room for the class to attempt!

Students will select two birds and conduct research on both birds. They will design a presentation to aid them when sharing the traits of their birds. The presentation should tell about where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, what special adaptations allow the animal to survive in it's native habitat, and any other interesting facts. They should also include what behavior the birds exhibit and their origin story.

Use movie making techniques to recreate a movie scene from any previously produced professional movie. Movie project should include a script, narrations, b-roll, interviews, full credits, or any other element to contribute to the final product.

Grading criteria for chemical reactions think-tac-toe

Students will design an informative poster promoting the Everglades. The poster is an historical and ecotourism poster with information about the animals and plants found in the Everglades. The research should include the conservation, preservation, and stewardship processes. Each group is responsible to research and will create and present a poster to the class.
